The fees currently required for on-chain transactions often exceed what is reasonably acceptable.
Ethereum, which has the highest fees, averages close to $10 per gas fee. This is not an insignificant expenditure even for users in developed countries, let alone citizens of other nations. The trading amounts for most users are typically below $100. Over 10% in fees hinders market growth and limits user trading incentives, which is detrimental to the future blockchain development.
